To Face or not to Face

I have been invited by an ex-school mate to join Facebook. This is so that my friends from secondary school can keep track of one another after such a long time :P I went to take a look and have seen the photos of old classmates and how they have changed in last 10 odd years. Some are just older version of their teenage self and some look more different. Most are married with kids or holding some successful career.

So should I join Facebook and update everyone on what I have been doing for the last decade or so? I really don't know. Some part of me says "forget it"...cos it will be too embrassing. I was never very smart or pretty ( I come from an all-girl school). I didn't really have that many close friends either. I was very average...with huge plastic glasses and long straight hair. Nothing that I want to really remember actually. My teenage appearance is so negative to me that Steven has not seen photos of me in that era. All old photos are kept in my mother's house in some forsaken place. Some things are best...forgotten!

Honestly, I was not too bothered by the way I looked, until I was in 2nd year in Uni when I decided to chop off my long hair and got contacts. I met one of my senior from JC during an event my university was organising. He COULD NOT recognise me...and all he kept saying was... "wow...you have really changed a lot....a whole lot". I suppose it was meant to be a compliment, but that got me all the more conscious of how I must have looked before the "transformation"!!

So...here is the question...should I join Facebook to meet up with old friends? To show them a side of me that they have not seen...or to remain quietly here where I am ...I am not not too badly in life, and hopefully...looking not too bad either ( if I may say so myself....SKII can work miracles you know!) :)..so do I need to show it off?

Not really :)
